Prayer for Tuesday 27th May

Today from our church family we pray for Jean Llewellyn

“Loving God, I offer you today,
my thoughts, words and actions.
Help me to heed the promptings of your Spirit,
to recognize your Son in those I encounter,
and to be a witness for your kingdom.
Help me to share your healing touch,
your words of encouragement,

your smile of friendship,
your helping hand”.    (from Five Rhythms of grace-The Community of St Chad) Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer

Prayer for Tuesday 18th March

Today from our church family we pray for David Boss.

Our Lent course continues today, at Broadway and St Martin’s. Continuing our exploration of the Community of St Chad’s Five Rhythms of Grace, we focus today on Rhythm Two: ‘By God’s grace, I will be open to the presence, guidance and power of the Holy Spirit.’ As we move time through this season of Lent, help us to be open to your Spirit working in our lives to draw us ever closer to you, and fitter to do your work. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Prayer for Tuesday 11th March

Today from our church family we pray for Gill Beasley.

Today we begin our Lent course alongside our friends at Broadway URC, meeting this afternoon at Broadway, and this evening at St Martin’s. This year we are exploring the Five Rhythms of Grace identified by the Community of St Chad, a series of statements and pledges designed to nurture spiritual growth and foster Christian discipleship. Today we focus on Rhythm One: ‘By God’s grace, I will seek to be transformed into the likeness of Christ.’ Lord, help us to be transformed into your likeness, to discard all that takes us away from you, and to develop the habits of life, thought and prayer that will bring us into ever closer fellowship with you. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
