We pray for the Glebe centre, and for all who work with the homeless in Walsall and throughout the UK. The burst of widespread good-will and generosity that often marks the Christmas season may now have passed over, but the men and women who use the centre are still cold, hungry, lonely and afraid. We pray for the continued concern and generosity of the people of Walsall, that financial support may be given throughout the year. This year, funding cuts mean that the Glebe Centre is being forced to reduce its opening hours and the level of care that it can offer to its clients. We ask that you will guide the directors to find the most effective ways to manage limited resources, working in tandem with other organizations, so that the most essential needs of Walsall’s homeless may be met to the best of everyone’s ability at this difficult time. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
