Today, from our church family, we pray for Margaret Carter.
Loving Father, we want to thank you for the beautiful Spring weather that we have enjoyed over the last few weeks. Our precious country is at its most glorious at this time of year when the trees are budding, the birds are singing and the spring flowers are filling our gardens and parks with scent and colour. The lighter evening Springtime brings never fail to lift our spirits.
This afternoon at Broadway URC and tonight at St. Martin’s, we meet for the fourth session of our Lent Course. We shall be studying the Fourth Rhythm of Grace which encourages us to undertake acts of generosity without being asked; to get involved in community initiatives that will help others; to firmly, but graciously oppose inequality and injustice when we encounter it and if confrontation is necessary, to approach it with grace and truth. Heavenly Father, we ask for your help to open our hearts and minds to all that we seek to learn and understand in this session. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
