Prayer for Monday 10th March

Today, from our church family, we pray for Lesley Bates.

Our charity focus for March is the Samaritans.  Every six seconds somebody contacts them. They are there 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  People can talk for as long as they wish; no-one will be rushed, interrupted or pressured.  There are no waiting lists and no assessments.  Everything is said in strict confidence and no information is ever passed on or shared.  For some people it is the only place they can turn to without fear of repercussions. We pray for everyone who volunteers to help this amazing charity. We pray that the Samaritans continue to receive the financial support necessary to keep this valuable service running.  We are living in difficult times when many people are stressed, out of work, made redundant, suffering family breakdown, suffering from addictions etc. The Samaritans are there helping people to cope with their personal tragedies and supporting them as they rebuild their lives.  May we do all we can to ensure that this work continues. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
