Today, from our church family, we pray for Philip Barnes.
In our Saturday prayers for our town, we pray today for the Civic Authorities who work so hard for the citizens of Walsall. We pray for the Mayor, the Councillors, particularly Chris Towe, Mike Bird and Adrian Andrew who use the community café at St. Martin’s as their surgery, and all the administrative staff. Thank you, Lord, that we live if a free, democratic country where everyone has a vote and where every citizen has the same rights and responsibilities. Thank you, Father, that we have people in our community who are willing to stand for election and then carry out the responsibilities of civic life. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayers.
