Over the last few weeks, we have been privileged to hear two outstanding people speak at our Sunday services. Sue McClellan works for ‘Embrace the Middle East’ and has first hand knowledge of the plight of Syrian Refugees now living in The Lebanon, Turkey and Jordon.
Brian Roberts works for ‘Open Doors’ which is an agency devoted to helping persecuted Christians throughout the world. They opened our eyes to the devastating circumstances our Christian brothers and sisters have to cope with each day. Loving Lord, we pray for the work of all those who are fighting to end religious persecution wherever it exists. We pray for all the agencies who are trying to help the Syrian Refugees and we give you thanks that the churches are providing such a life line for them in Lebanon: distributing aid, providing shelter and comfort. Help us to do our part, by providing whatever financial support we can afford to give. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
